Obituary for William K. Musser
William K. Musser, 86, formerly of Mercersburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Bedford, PA.
Born March 12, 1936 in Greenvillage, PA, he was a son of the late Eber L. and Laura B Kane Musser.
Bill worked for many years at Snider’s Feed Mill in Mercersburg, and then retired after 30 years at Mount Parnell Fisheries in Fort Loudon, PA. From the time he was young and into his retirement, Bill loved woodworking, farming, and raising steers. He also enjoyed listening to the old hymns and visiting his grandchildren.
Bill was a member of the Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church, Mercersburg, and spent many years as a trustee and usher.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ruth M. (Alleman) Musser, who he married on December 29, 1962, and two sons, Richard K. Musser and his wife Terri of Indiana, and Michael B. Musser and his wife Laura of Bedford, PA. Bill is survived by 11 grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Ronald Musser, and a sister, Ethel Sider.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Montgomery Brethren in Church, Mercersburg, with Pastor Japheth Nell officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. There will be viewing 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
