Trudy L. Lowans, 71, McConnellsburg, PA died December 22, 2021 in UPMC West Shore, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born August 31, 1950 in McConnellsburg, she was a daughter of the late Maurice, Jr. and Mary K. (Barnhart) Lowans.
Trudy was a former employee of Mercersburg Tannery, and Little Tykes of Shippensburg, PA. She was last employed for 10 years at Ingram Content Group of Chambersburg, PA.
Trudy loved her dog, Petey. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren, bingo, scratch offs, Yahtzee, video games.
Surviving family include a son, Thomas M. (Debra) Unger, St. Thomas, PA, two daughters, Tracy Miller and Michelle Layton both of Chambersburg, PA. Seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Nine sisters and brothers, Arlene Gordon, Darlene Foust, Donald Lowans, Raymond Lowans, Timmy Lowans, Teresa Hockenberry, Anita Sheffield, Kathy Chilcote, and Donna Wertz. Trudy was preceded in death by twin great grandsons, Victory and Bravery Riley, and siblings, Gary Barnhart and Dawn C. “Chris” King.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday January 4, 2022 in Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Reverend Vera Keith officiating.
