Obituary for Sherry A. Martin (Pine)
Sherry A. Martin, 69, Mercersburg, PA died November 24, 2021 in UPMC West Shore Hospital, Mechanicsburg, PA.
Born December 8, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD she was a daughter of the late William A. “John” and Verna (Reeder) Pine.
Sherry assisted her husband in the operation of the family dairy farm. She was employed for 30 years as a school bus driver in the Tuscarora School District.
Sherry loved her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren & great grandchildren’s sporting events. Other interests include crochet, cross stitch, socializing, volunteering at Two Top Ruritan Club, gospel music, traveling to the ocean and other states.
She was a charter member of Two Top Fellowship Church, Mercersburg, and had taught beginners Sunday School class.
Surviving family include her husband, Eugene L. Martin, whom she married April 18, 1970. Two sons, Jerry E. (Leslie) Martin and Rodney L. (Tara) Martin both of Mercersburg, seven grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Higdon, Hailey (Robby) Hartung, Heather Ketchens, Madison (Tyler) Martin, Cassidy Martin, and twins, Alexis and Brock Martin. Four great grandchildren, Willow and Mack Hartung, and Makayla and Jacob Higdon. Four siblings, twin brother, Terry (Lana) Pine, Patsy Wisniowskie, Nancy Hite, and Cindy Bowers. Sherry was preceded in death by siblings, Donald Pine and Lois Lindsay.
The family will receive friends at Two Top Fellowship Church from 9 to 11 AM on November 30, 2021.
Funeral service at 11:00 AM November 30th in the church with Pastors Paul A. Martin and Ronnie W. Martin, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Welsh Run Church of Brethren Cemetery, Mercersburg.
