Obituary for Roger Lee Gordon Sr.
Roger Lee Gordon Sr., 65, of Fort Loudon PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Chambersburg Hospital with his family by his side.
Born January 29, 1957, in Chambersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Dorothy B. Gordon. Roger attended James Buchanan High School and married Debra Keefer on June 9,1974. He worked as a concrete finisher for 45 years with the following companies: Albert B Keefer & Son, RHP Construction, and with his eldest son at Gordon's Concrete. Roger was a long-time member at Mt. Calvary Tabernacle
As a loving father, his life revolved around time spent with family. He enjoyed hunting, watching old Westerns, and reading his Bible. For those who knew Roger best, knew that he enjoyed long car rides, parties, and Little House on the Prairie.
Roger is survived by his wife Debra of 47 years, and 6 children, Roger (Jody) Gordon Jr., Kenneth (Eve) Gordon Sr., Sherry (Steve) Miller, Cathy (Rodney) Weller, Matthew (Misty) Gordon, and Jennifer (Jamie) Smith. He Is survived by 14 grandchildren; Whitney Gordon, Roger Lee Gordon III, Gabe Gordon, Wesley Gordon, Kenny Gordon Jr. Katie Gordon, Haley Weller, Billy Weller, Emily Weller, Hannah Gordon, Brielle Gordon, Jamison Smith, Zander Smith, Rylee Smith, 2 great-grandchildren, Quinn Summers and Cooper Pittman, a sister, Mary Strohl, and brothers, Jim and John Guyer.
In addition to his mother, Roger was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Lee Gordon, and siblings, Jacob Guyer, Fred Guyer, and Gene Barnhart.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, April 18, 2022, at Mt. Calvary Tabernacle in Williamson, PA. with Pastors Matthew Gordon & Reuben Egolf officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Stenger Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon, PA.
