Obituary for Robert E. Foreman

Robert E. Foreman, 81,of Fort Loudon PA, went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 21, 2022, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Born June 24, 1940, in Greencastle, PA, he was the son of the late Robert and Alma (Bear) Foreman.

Bob graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1958 where he enjoyed participating in baseball, chorus, and the St. Thomas Marching Band. After graduation, he married his long time sweetheart, Kay Collier, in 1960, and they have shared 61 years together. The garage business was in his blood from a young age. He worked as a young boy in his father's garage in Williamson and from there other local garages as the Parts and Service Manager. In his later years, he was a machinist for Anvil Products and Castle Machine.

Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer; he always enjoyed pitching horseshoes. As he got older, the hunting and fishing changed to sitting on his front porch, smoking his pipe, and feeding the squirrels. He was a friend to all who passed by the front gate.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Kay, daughters Kimberly (Richard) Cornell, Robin (David) Sweeney, and son Gregory (Trudy) Foreman; grandchildren Brian (Caitlin) Cornell, Jason (Carrie) Cornell, David (Amy) Sweeney, Shae Foreman, Garrett Foreman; great grandchildren Brooke Sweeney, Grant Cornell, Kennedy Cornell and Abigail Cornell. In addition, he is survived by his sisters Anna Tarner McClain and Kathryn Louise Group.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Douglas Foreman, his brother Lloyd Foreman, and sisters Janet Miller and Alice Snider.

Private graveside services will be held at Upton Church of the Brethren. A "Front Porch" Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at his home.

He will be watching from heaven as his family continues to enjoy the Sunday evening cookouts in the front yard sharing love, food, and fellowship.
