Obituary for Paul David Timmons
Paul David (Chin) Timmons 68 of Greencastle, passed away on July 7, 2022 in Gettysburg, PA.
He was born on June 23, 1954 in Chambersburg, PA. He was the son of the late Paul Lester and Betty Jane (Wolfe) Timmons.
Paul graduated from James Buchanan High School with the class of 1974.
He married the love of his life, Tammy A (Zeger) Timmons on March 6, 1982 at Mt. Tabor Church in Mercersburg, PA.
In his early years, Paul worked on his Uncle Martin's farm and also the Mercersburg Academy. After graduation Paul then became employed as a welder at Grove-Manitowoc Crane Group, Shady Grove PA for 45 years before retiring in August 2020.
He loved spending time with his family especially game nights, trips to the ocean, flea marketing, fishing and just being outdoors. His biggest love was for street rods. Whether it was going to car shows or participating. He was involved in starting the Mason Dixon Street Rod Association. He was the kind of man who loved to fix things and help out whoever he could.
In addition to his wife Tammy, he is survived by two daughters, Toni L Ford and husband Brannon M Ford of Falling Waters, WV, Brittany L Timmons and wife Trish F Timmons of Shippensburg, PA, granddaughter Anna M Turner and partner Cody A Schrader and two step grandchildren Jarrod Weller and girlfriend Shannon Garland, Victoria Weller, and a brother Robert A Timmons.
He is preceded in death by both parents and a brother Michael L Timmons.
A memorial service will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, PA. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
