Obituary for Nathan King

Nathan George King, 75, of Greencastle passed away peacefully at his home on May 13, 2022 with his
family by his side.

Born December 28, 1946 in Fairmont West Virginia, he was a son of the late Freeman George and
Thelma Margerite Stanley King.

Nathan graduated from East Fairmont High School and worked as a truck driver for over 50 years
including 23 years at Food Lion before retiring. Nathan was a former pilot, and enjoyed collecting trains,
hunting, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Washington Nationals play. Nathan loved helping his
grandchildren with their activities, he loved his two dogs, Joe Joe and Fluffy Girl, and enjoyed mowing on
his John Deere, and raising chickens on his property.

Nathan was a member of the NRA, Greencastle Sportsman’s Association, a Lifetime Member of the West
Virginia Hunting Association, and member of Mount Tabor Brethren-Christ Church.

Surviving family include his wife, Mary C. King and children, Paul Gregory Mason, Kymberly Suzanne
Rouzer, Charlotte Nadine (Jerry) Foust, Ronald Gene Hess Jr., 10 grandchildren, 4 great-
grandchildren, and brothers Richard and Charles King.

Nathan is preceded in death by his sister, Karen King.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 18, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc. in
Mercersburg, PA with Pastor Kevin Lay officiating. There will be a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Antietam Cemetery in Waynesboro, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Tabor Brethren-Christ Church Building Fund, or
Heartland Hospice.
