Obituary for Michael James Clark
Michael James Clark, 67, of Mercersburg, PA passed away on February 26, 2022 in Mercersburg.
Born March 7, 1954, in Chambersburg, PA he was a son of the late Clinton Elmer and Loretta Mae Rockwell Clark.
Mike graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1972 and married Shirley Clark on August 10, 1974. For 45 years, Mike worked as a machinist at Grove Manufacturing in Waynesboro. Mike loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and feeding the birds and wildlife around his home. Mike loved to travel with his family and attend the local sales.
Mike was a member of the American Legion Post 517.
Mike is survived by a sister, Cindy Clark of Greencastle, a brother, Rock (Beth) Clark of Mercersburg, and sister Patti (Tim) Wingert of Fort Loudon, a niece Shelle (Gary) Stouffer, a nephew Jim (Amber) Clark, and niece Chastity (Brandon) Elliott, and 5 great nieces and nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Clark (2018) and a nephew, Jesse Leasure.
A viewing will be 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday March 2, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, PA.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home with Pastor David Pine and Pastor Greg Kell officiating, burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to M. M. P. & W. Volunteer Fire Company.
