Obituary for Margaret K. Rockwell
Margaret K. Rockwell, 97, of St. Thomas, PA, died November 3, 2022.
Born September 9, 1925 in Waynesboro, PA, she was a daughter of the late Earl C. and Enza P. (Minnich) Koons.
Margaret was a graduate of Greencastle High School. She was employed at the former Mercersburg Electric Company from January 1948 to February 1964. Margaret was last employed as a bookkeeper by St. Thomas Garage for 20 years.
Margaret and her husband, Don W. Rockwell, moved to St. Thomas in 1951. He died May 26, 1985.
She enjoyed sending cards to family and friends, knitting, and college football.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Chambersburg, St. Thomas American Legion Auxiliary, and AARP-Norland Chapter.
Surviving is a daughter, Carol A. Rockwell of St. Thomas, a brother, Harold C. Koons of State Line, PA, a number of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Rubye V. Ludy.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, November 11, 2022 in Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, with Pastor Caroline Saxton officiating.
Memorial visitation one hour prior to the service Friday in the funeral home.
