Obituary for John R. Heinbaugh Sr.
John R. Heinbaugh, Sr., 79, of Fort Loudon, PA died November 29, 2022.
Born May 14, 1943 in Chambersburg, PA he was a son of the late Hiram L. and Bertha C. (Armstrong) Heinbaugh.
John was a graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg, PA. As a young man he worked for his father at Hiram Heinbaugh Construction for 8 years. As a self-employed carpenter, he worked for Patwill Homes and later S & A Homes.
John enjoyed hunting, auctions, buffets, and fishing trips to Indian River.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda L. (Sword) Heinbaugh who died May 7, 1986, and a brother, Herman Heinbaugh.
Surviving are a son John R., Jr. and his wife Lori Heinbaugh of St. Thomas, PA, a daughter, Lorie A. Helmuth of Chambersburg, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Martha Shelly of Mercersburg, and Mary Peck of Chambersburg.
Funeral service 11 am Monday December 5, 2022 in Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg, with Pastor Stan McCammon officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg.
