Obituary for Jeffrey Shields
Jeffrey Lynn Shields, 59, of Mercersburg, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.
Born November 21, 1962 in Chambersburg PA, he was a son of Ray M. and Linda R. Shuman Shields.
Jeff attended the Chambersburg High School and worked as a welder for over 30 years. He started and operated Whitetail Custom Butchering in Mercersburg. Jeff loved to hunt and fish and spend time with his family and friends. In his younger days, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.
Jeff was a member of the Mercersburg Sportsman Association.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Heckman-Shields and his son Matthew (Bambi) Breneman of Mercersburg. Surviving grandchildren include Kylee Breneman of Chambersburg, and Emily Breneman of Arizona, and a great-granddaughter Freya Spriggs of Chambersburg. Jeff is survived by his parents, Ray and Linda Shields of Chambersburg, and his siblings, Robert (Tammy) Shields of Shippensburg, Roger (Debbie) Shields of Phoenixville PA, and Christina (Dwayne) Williamson of Fayetteville.
The family will receive friends for a viewing and visitation from 11:00 – 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc. in Mercersburg, PA. A private service will be held later.
