Obituary for Helen Hoffman
Helen S. Hoffman, 100, of Mercersburg, passed away on Wednesday February 16, 2022 in Mercersburg.
Born November 24, 1921 in Gilbertsville, PA she was a daughter of the late Waren and Meda Sterner Renninger.
Helen graduated with honors from Boyertown High School in 1939, and married Ralph R. Hoffman three years later on December 19, 1942. She had a passion for food and cooking as a restaurant owner and for her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, and enjoyed spending her time reading, and completing crossword puzzles, and taking car rides through the Lancaster area.
Helen is survived by her 7 children, Eileen Weinsteiger of Alburtis PA, Janet (Gary) Henshaw of Boyertown PA, Dennis (Lorene) of Tahoma CA, Marilyn (Bart) Flannery of Mercersburg PA, Ronald (Janet) Hoffman of Pottstown PA, David (Kathy) Hoffman of Mertztown, Nancy (Geoff) Ream of Prescott AZ. Helen is survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and her sister Marie Reichert of Boyertown PA.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Ralph R. Hoffman.
A private burial will be scheduled at the convenience of the family.
