Gaynelle B Rosenberry, 87, of Fort Loudon, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at The Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA.
Born June 19,1934 in Broad Top Township of Bedford County, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Margaret Elizabeth Snyder Mervine.
Gaynelle was a talented seamstress and worked for Stanley Clothing Company, U-Wanna-Wash Frocks, and worked from home doing clothing alterations for family and community. Gaynelle also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and embroidery. She enjoyed reading later in life and loved traveling around the world to places like London, New Zealand and Hawaii. She was a member of the Mercersburg VFW auxiliary and helped with their blood drives for many years. She was also a member of the Fort Loudon legion auxiliary.
A beloved Mother and Nana, she focused her time and talents on helping her family with all of their activities. Her family was everything, especially her grandchildren and great - grandchildren.
Gaynelle is survived by her daughters, Sheila L. Owens of Fayetteville and Rhonda L. Mellott of St. Thomas, 3 grandchildren, Tracey B. Richard, Larissa Mellott (Eli Rotz) and Heather Mellott (Ray) Johnston, and 5 great-grandchildren, Chance and Ella Rotz, Aiden, Ethan and Alexander Johnston, and many cousins. Also survived by her cherished dog Buster.
Gaynelle was preceded in death by her husband, Dean W. Rosenberry in 2012 and by her son-in-law, David N. Owens. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Miller officiating. There will be a viewing 1 hour prior to the service and burial at Stegner Hill Cemetery, Fort Loudon.
