Obituary for Floyd E. Pine

Floyd Eugene Pine, 76, of Fort Loudon, PA, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Harrisburg, PA.

Born June 14, 1946 In Chambersburg, PA, he was a son of the late Floyd D. and Katherine Mary Reeder Pine.

Floyd graduated from James Buchanan High School and worked as a surveyor for the state. He worked 40 years at Grove Manufacturing in Waynesboro working in Research and Development. Floyd loved to play golf and participating and coaching mens softball. He belonged to a hunting club in West Virginia known as “Long Time Coming” and enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing. Floyd loved spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Floyd was a member of the Men of the Mountain, and he was the commander of the SAL from 1986-1988 Post 606 Fort Loudon Legion.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley H. Pine and two children, Kimberly D. McIntyre, Curtis Eugene Pine both of Fort Loudon, and two grandchildren, Kyle Lee Neil of Fort Loudon and Cheyenne Nicole Samuel of Willow Hill, and two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Raine Samuel and Emily Paige Jarrett. Floyd is survived by a sisters, Linda Pine Kauffman of St. Thomas and Rhonda Lehman of Chambersburg, and brothers, Robert Pine of Greencastle and Jeffrey L. Pine of Greencastle.

At this time, there is not a memorial service scheduled for Floyd.
