Obituary for Flo Mae Adkins Rockwell
Flo Mae Adkins Rockwell, 91, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022 in Fayetteville, PA.
Born September 19, 1931 in Welsh Run, PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul D. Clever and Ethel Sites Sr.
Flo Mae graduated from the Lincoln Beauty Academy in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was the former owner and operator of Flo Mae’s Beauty Shop in St. Thomas for 34 years.
Flo Mae was a former member of the National Hairdressers Association, the St. Thomas Fire Department, and the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion #612.
Flo Mae is survived by her two daughters, Patty Deihl of Enola, Zee Zee Ehrhart of Fayetteville, and two sons Dennis Francisco of Mooresville, NC, and Samuel G. Adkins II of Mercersburg. Surviving grandchildren include Hannah, Grady, and Hilary Ehrhart, Samuel, Van, Hunter, and Abigail Adkins, and 5 great grandchildren.
Flo Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel G. Adkins (1992), and siblings; Fae Toms, Nelson (Tom) Clever, Paul D. Clever Jr., Ellis R. Clever, Ned J. Clever, and Harold Clever.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
