Dorothy Jane “Dot” Gelsinger, 88, passed away peacefully at home Thursday November 25th, surrounded by her family.
Born April 6, 1933 in Hagerstown, MD, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Shank) Draper.
Dot was a union steward at Corning Glass, Greencastle, PA, retiring after more than 30 years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family include a son, Ed (Denise) Gelsinger, Waynesboro, PA, a daughter, Tinna (Tom) Daley, Greencastle, granddaughter, Megan Gelsinger, grandsons, Weston Daley and Keaton Daley, one great granddaughter, Holly Gelsinger, two sisters, Josephine Hull, Clear Spring, MD, and Betty Metz, Boonsboro, MD, and longtime caregiver, Cherry Barr. Dot was preceded in death two siblings, Donald Draper and Lottie Gossard.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday December 2, 2021 in Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg, with Chaplin Robert Murr officiating.
