Obituary for Donald G. Pendleton
Donald “Don” Gladston Pendleton, 83, of Chambersburg, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 14, 2022.
Born August 31, 1938 in Gainesville, Texas he was a son of the late Dewey Gladston and Artina Womack Pendleton.
Don was a graduate of Winters High School in Rule, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1963-67. On May 18, 1963, he married the love of his life, Mary (Rogers) Pendleton. Don was a longtime member of the Mt. Calvary Tabernacle in Williamson, PA. Don was loved by everyone he met. He will be clearly remembered for his love of the Lord, love for his wife, his country, southern gospel music, and his beautiful stories of times gone by.
Don is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary M. Pendleton of Chambersburg, PA. He is survived by a brother, Samuel L. Pendleton of Texas, many nieces and nephews, and close friend, Kathy Kendall.
Don is preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Mt. Calvary Tabernacle with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Ioof Cemetery Broad Top, Broad Top City, PA.
