Dolores Bernice Shingler, 86, of Smithsburg, MD died May 16, 2022 in Williamsport Nursing & Rehab, Williamsport, MD.
Born February 27, 1936 in Mercersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late Harry Elmer Robison and Edith Mae Lininger Laird.
Her husband, Herbert Watson Shingler, preceded her in death in 1975.
Dolores worked at the Stanley Company in Chambersburg, PA for 10 years and at Oak Ridge Gardens Apartments, Hagerstown, MD for 16 years. She was a member for over 50 years of Ladies Auxiliary of VFW #6241, Mercersburg.
Dolores enjoyed bingo, bus trips, traveling, flowers, birds and keeping a home.
She is survived by four sons, Ricky Lee Robinson, Greencastle, PA, Allan Lyle Robison, Smithsburg, Aden Brian Robinson, Hagerstown, and Shawn Toren Shingler, Hedgesville, WV. A daughter, Chelene Mae Martin, Falling Waters, WV. Eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a sister, Dretha Mellott, Greencastle, PA. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.
Graveside funeral service 11:00 AM Friday May 20, 2022 in Spring Grove Cemetery, Lemasters, PA, with Reverend Robert Robinson officiating.
