Obituary for Bryant Dorn Hornbaker
Bryant Dorn Hornbaker, 55, of Mercersburg, passed away on July, 25, 2022 at his home.
Born May 14, 1967 in Chambersburg, PA, he was a son of Dorn and Patricia (Swailes) Hornbaker.
Bryant graduated from James Buchanan High School in 1986 and worked 35 years for RA Hill, Inc.
Bryant was a loving, devoted, hardworking man. He loved spending time with his family, and working on remodeling the house, and building garage. He always had his boys along side him helping and teaching them. He enjoyed going on buggy rides or running any type of equipment. Bryant was a type of person who would stop and help anyone in need.
Bryant was a member of the Mercersburg Moose Lodge.
Bryant is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amy Hornbaker, two sons, Jonathan (Hallie) Hornbaker, Justin (Kiersten) Hornbaker, two stepsons, Eric (Julia) Schanzenbacher, and Nickolas (Katelyn) Schanzenbacher, and grandsons, Mason, Marshall, Malcolm, Maddex, and Myles. He is survived by his parents, Dorn and Patricia Hornbaker, and siblings, Chris (Bev) Hornbaker, Mark (Barb) Hornbaker, Lori Wolfe, Shari (Allan) Sites, and nephews and nieces, Derrick, Nichole, Douglas, Kenlee, Alexa, and Kailey.
Bryant is preceded in death by his grandparents, William R. and Helen B. Swailes, and Harry R. and Elise M. Hornbaker.
A viewing will be held Thursday, 6:00 – 8:00PM, July 28, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg, PA. A funeral will be Friday, 3:30PM, July 29, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Norman Hege officiating and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mercersburg. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service.
