Obituary for Audrey Boos
Audrey J. Boos, 69 of Fort Loudon, passed away on April 11, 2022 at her home.
Born February 22, 1953 in Waynesboro, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Cora L. Mellott Thomas.
Audrey was raised in Mercersburg and Fort Loudon and later married Otto J. Boos. Audrey loved spending time with her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed cooking for her family, needlepoint sewing, completing puzzles and adult coloring books. Audrey was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with her cats and dogs.
Audrey was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Chambersburg, PA.
Audrey is survived by her two children, a son, Otto J.E. Boos and wife Amy of McConnellsburg, a daughter, Sandra Kauffman and husband Jason of Spring Run, 5 grandchildren, and sisters, Phyllis J. Cowan, Elizabeth L. Helman, Patricia A. Heckman, and Bonnie L. Sollenberger.
Audrey is preceded in death by her husband, Otto J. Boos (2015), a step-son, Curtis Wade Boos, and sister, Ethel M. Woodard.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Friday, April 15, 2022 at Fries Funeral Home Inc. Mercersburg PA with a viewing 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Jeff McCracken will officiate the service and burial will take place at Stenger Hill Cemetery Fort Loudon.
